Grass Roots? Think Again! You May Be Supporting Coca Cola.

Do you spend a few extra buck to support the grass roots businesses that supply you with the organic, ecco conscious products you use? You may be supporting Coca Cola, Pepsi, Clorox, Kellogg’s and more.
I often wonder about whom really gets my money when I buy things and is the product really holding true to the claims in the name. I first was exposed to this myself a few years back when I looked on the back of a Kudos’s granola bar and saw that it is owned by Phillip Morris the tobacco giant. When I told a bunch of politically correct punk rockers at the health food store that they were about to give their money and vote of approval to Philip Morris they laughed. Then I showed them the back of the label and they were in shock. I have myself begun to actually make a lot of these products for myself and a few things I have eliminated all together. Toothpaste, Shampoo, TV, have not been a part of my life for quite some time now. Here is an article that may change everything about where you spend your money.

Living Beyond Your Past

Oh the reached past. What we did in times of lunacy and confusion can haunt us for years to come. Learning to now live beyond it can be empowering for you while stirring up resistance from those living in the past. What do you do when you have spent all your money, time, energy and focus on study and developing yourself to new levels in every arena of your life and then those in your community, your business, your market... keep a tag on you from 5 or 6 years ago. It's a funny thing that when you go through a growing pain and experience a personal development and those around you who haven't can still look down on you or categorize you when they are the ones who have not grown. When we go through a crisis we grow; we usually develop, mature and expand from total tragedy. Sometimes if you don't grow from it, it will kill you; that can be on the metaphoric sense or a physical reality but ether way you cower and die. All the while others around us seam to just stand still. When you make a mistake even a huge mistake and you live up to lit., take it on, and grow beyond it; you are an achiever. You are the one books are written about and set new example for others to grow. A true genius is one who is a better person today than they were yesterday. If you are knowledgeable or crafty at something and lean on it for survival yet never learning or growing beyond it you are much less of a person than one who has had real challenges and educated, practiced and grew beyond them no matter what level they may be at now. I myself can speak whole heartily on this subject because I have been there. I have spent the past 5 years in personal development, business development, in workshops, schools, seminars, weekly yoga, meditation and mind development exercises, yet there are too many people around me who would rather focus on the past, block me out, talk down about me rather than take advantage of all I have to offer today. All my experience and growth is quite useful to those wanting change in there own lives. Never ask a fat person how to lose weight.

Look we all have made stupid mistakes, we all have things ether in our past or in the present moment that are of our deepest secrete, insecurities or whatever.
Shall ye not judge till thy demons have all gone.
Not likely to happen; we all have demons and they will be with us forever, one must learn to live with them and except others with theirs, whether you know of them or not. Don't think that even the most angelic and pristine a person has no dark side. Usually it is the most innocent looking people that have the darkest passions and inhibitions.
If you are shopping for diamonds you don't think that "at one time this was just dirt, how good can it be?" The question is how valuable is it to you now? Today! In the form that it is now? What can you get out of it and what does it have to offer?!!!!
No one grows by living in the past! GET OVER IT AND GET ON WITH YOUR LIFE!
For me I think only everyday what can I do today that will contribute to where I want to be tomorrow? It is a total waste of time to give the past even a moment. It is not the future. What I want in my future will only come about if I put effort into it today. Forget the past, forget who or what "roadblock" in your efforts because that will always be there and if given thought will only slow you down. Forget it in move on.

Life Savers In A Pinch

WORTH REMEMBERING!

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST --- Emergency Global 911

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile  is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search for any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND --- Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!'

THIRD --- Hidden Cell Phone Battery  Power

Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

FOURTH --- How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:
* # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

ATM - 911 alert (PIN Number Reversal) - Good to Know

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would put in 4321. The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location. This information was recently broadcast on CTV by Crime Stoppers however it is seldom used because people just don't know about it.. Please pass this along to everyone.

Origin of the Super Sized Meal

In today's excerpt--supersizing and the "thrifty gene":

"That distinction [of inventing supersizing] belongs to a man named David Wallerstein. Until his death in 1993, Wallerstein served on the board of directors at McDonald's, but in the fifties and sixties he worked for a chain of movie theaters in Texas, where he labored to expand sales of soda and popcorn--the high-markup items that theaters depend on for their profitability. As the story is told in John Love's official history of McDonald's, Wallerstein tried everything he could think of to goose up sales--two-for-one deals, matinee specials--but found he simply could not induce customers to buy more than one soda and one bag of popcorn. He thought he knew why: Going for seconds makes people feel piggish.

"Wallerstein discovered that people would spring for more popcorn and soda--a lot more--as long as it came in a single gigantic serving. Thus was born the two-quart bucket of popcorn, the sixty-four-ounce Big Gulp, and, in time, the Big Mac and the jumbo fries, though Ray Kroc himself took some convincing. In 1968, Wallerstein went to work for McDonald's, but try as he might, he couldn't convince Kroc, the company's founder, of supersizing's magic powers.

" 'If people want more fries,' Kroc told him, 'they can buy two bags.' Wallerstein patiently explained that McDonald's customers did want more but were reluctant to buy a second bag. 'They don't want to look like gluttons.'

"Kroc remained skeptical, so Wallerstein went looking for proof. He began staking out McDonald's outlets in and around Chicago, observing how people ate. He saw customers noisily draining their sodas, and digging infinitesimal bits of salt and burnt spud out of their little bags of French fries. After Wallerstein presented his findings, Kroc relented and approved supersized portions, and the dramatic spike in sales confirmed the marketer's hunch. Deep cultural taboos against gluttony--one of the seven deadly sins, after all--had been holding us back. Wallerstein's dubious achievement was to devise the dietary equivalent of a papal dispensation: Supersize it! He had discovered the secret to expanding the (supposedly) fixed human stomach.

"One might think that people would stop eating and drinking these gargantuan portions as soon as they felt full, but it turns out hunger doesn't work that way. Researchers have found that people (and animals) presented with large portions will eat up to 30 percent more than they would otherwise. Human appetite, it turns out, is surprisingly elastic, which makes excellent evolutionary sense: It behooved our hunter-gatherer ancestors to feast whenever the opportunity presented itself, allowing them to build up reserves of fat against future famine. Obesity researchers call this trait the 'thrifty gene.' And while the gene represents a useful adaptation in an environment of food scarcity and unpredictability, it's a disaster in an environment of fast-food abundance, when the opportunity to feast presents itself 24/7. Our bodies are storing reserves of fat against a famine that never comes."

According to Dr. Robert Keosake and all other wealth and success teaches today say that to get your 40 a week job with a 401K and plan to climb the corporate latter you more than likely are doomed. The key to surviving and prospering is to learn how money works and play the field as you would and hobby, a sport, an interest... You must become aware of all the aspects of creating income and building wealth so that you can participate in decision making and actions that work in harmony with the nature of money.

The most powerful tool for creating the life experience you want to have is perhaps one of the most forgotten tool. Why do I say this?

It becomes very clear if you look at a historical timeline of the teachings and use of such tools and the development of technology. Previous to the aide of modern mechanics, electronics and medical practices mankind had no alternative to exploring metaphysical and spiritual experiences in search of the answers to life’s mysteries and as stimulus to enhance the human experience. For centuries, human activity and experiences were observed. In time patterns and relationships were noticed and credited. They saw these relationships and realized that they could be used as guides to manifest or create the life experience they wanted. As each factor was identified, practices and ritual were implemented to nurture or enhance the influence and affect it had on their life.

In modern life we have technology, government and commerce to provide everything for us. All our needs are provided for or so it is presents to us as such. As a result, we no longer exercise and consequently developing our most essential and personal part of ourselves. If you detach yourself from all technology, social, and cultural conditioning, what you have left is the true you; the real you, the part of you that is there when everything else has been removed. This is what we no longer play with, explore, develop and nurturing most inner selves. We are so eluted and diluted by all the convenient amenities in our modern life we have lost the necessity to pay any attention this part of our being. For most people in the world today, the awareness of its existence is completely lost.

I believe that unhappiness and emptiness comes when a person lost hope; when they feel they have so control or say in the life they are experiencing.

So how do you begin to take control of the life experience you are having?

One very powerful practice you can implement starting right now is to mediate on your affirmations. Or it may be better said  to treat your affirmations as a mantra.

One of the things I have added to my life recently that has had the most effect has been to add morning and bedtime meditations; not so much to completely meditate as much as a focused meditative chanting of my personal affirmations.
As I explained in my book The Power Of Me, our chronic way of thinking pretty much dictates our life experience. So to make grand changes in my life experience I have focused heavily on changing my conscious and unconscious patterns and content of thoughts.
